Restrictions Management
Restrictions Management is the process by which Reuters Insight compiles, maintains and applies the applicable consultation restrictions for each expert. Restrictions can be specific topics or companies that an expert is prohibited from discussing, as well as limits on the number of times an expert may consult in a specified timeframe. We can implement custom restrictions on behalf of our clients.
In addition to specific expert, client, or expert employer restrictions that may apply to particular consultations, the following Reuters Insight restrictions apply to all consultations:
- No expert may discuss their current employer’s business.
- No expert may discuss their former employer’s business until six months after departure.
- No expert may consult with known competitors of their current employer.
- No expert employed by a public company can participate in more than three (3) Reuters Insight consultations in one calendar year, unless that company has provided written consent to Reuters Insight.
